We have been looking at ways to collect Statistics for Mission returns online and created a new web site that we hope will be up to the task. We are currently investigating the feasibility of using it to collect returns for 2006, running in parallel with the existing paper based system. We would value your feedback and suggestions.

Key characteristics of the system are:
1. Deanery consolidation of information. It is possible to review which parishes/churches have submitted a return as well as which parishes have not.
2. Looks and feels like the existing paper system.
3. Allows the print out of individual returns onto A4 locally.
4. Has a high level of security and authentication built in.
5. Is both Internet Explorer 5.5+ and Firefox compatible.
6. Works at parish level by default but can also accept district or church returns

The data in the website is currently entirely test data. So feel free to investigate and try submitting data.

Details for accessing the site can be obtained by sending a quick email toJames.Grady [A t] Oxford.Anglican.org

I found the forms very easy to use - if only it were so easy to get the information out of the various people!! My only comment would be that it would be helpful to know that the notes can be found by clicking on help - I found out by accident when playing around, otherwise my comment would have been "how do we access the notes?"
